BCA Commitment to Privacy 

The Idaho Black Community Alliance (BCA) protects the privacy of its clients, event participants, donors, and resource partners by using industry-recognized security safeguards. 


To ensure our privacy policy is easy to find, the BCA makes it available on our homepage and at every point where personally identifiable information may be requested. 

 

Types of Information Collected or otherwise Submitted on IWBC Website 

The BCA privacy policy applies to all information collected or submitted on the BCA website. The types of personal information, when donating a monetary value to the organization are:

Address 

Email Address 

Phone Number 

Credit/Debit Card Information 

 

For donors making a donation in honor or memory of someone, donors can submit information about another person to receive a notification of the donation. In such an instance, the types of personal information collected for the person to receive the notification are:

Email Address 

 

While users may browse through the BCA’s website without providing any personal information, the BCA does collect Internet Protocol (IP) addresses and browsing habits to help analysis of website traffic. 

 


Ways that BCA Uses Information 

All information collected or submitted on the BCA website is used for the purposes for which intended. The BCA may also use contact information to distribute newsletters and to promote BCA programs and services via postal mail, email, fax, or telephone calls. 

 

The BCA uses social media tools to interact with its clients, event participants, donors, and resource partners and to publicize the BCA’s programs and services. 

 

The BCA website contains links to websites of other public and private organizations. When users follow a link to another site, they leave the IWBC site and their website interactions are no longer protected by the BCA’s privacy policy. The BCA is not responsible for and does not endorse the privacy or security practices and content of sites to which the website links. 

 

The BCA does not share any information with third parties for their promotional or marketing use without consent.

 

BCA Commitment to Data Security 

The BCA has established appropriate physical, electronic, otherwise managerial processes and procedures to safeguard and secure the information collected or submitted on the BCA website to prevent unauthorized access to such information and to maintain its data accuracy and proper usage. BCA Network Member listings are available on our website by accessing the Member Directory. This information is published as a member benefit and is provided by individual members or with assistance from BCA team members. Member verifications are done periodically throughout the year to ensure we have the latest and most updated information. By registering for an event, adding your business to our newsletter list or BCA Network Member Directory, you consent approval of the BCA privacy policy.

 

How to Access or Correct Personal Information 

Individuals can access their personally identifiable information that is collected or otherwise submitted on the BCA website through their log-in. Factual errors in personally identifiable information can be corrected by sending a request that credibly shows an error. To protect your privacy and security, the BCA will take reasonable steps to verify your identity before granting access or making corrections. We recognize that many of the client of the BCA are home based and give significant attention to protect home addresses. Clients must check home-based or hide address on public directory to ensure accuracy.
